About Rosemary Muntus

Rosemary Muntus

Born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and educated at Notre Dame High School Sheffield. Daughter of a draper and an artist who gave me a love of textiles and an inability to throw anything away. Three brothers.

Studied at University of Leicester (degree in geology) and Oxford University (postgraduate diploma in geochemistry).

Volunteer in Uganda where I started working on an M.Sc before being employed at Makerere University as lecturer in Geology.

After Uganda I worked in London and Mozambique before abandoning geological information science (or did it abandon me?) for textiles, computing and teaching.

Worked at Morley College from 1994 to 2013.

Married to Allan, no kids (no inheritance to spend), live in Suffolk, sing, sew, teach, illustrate books and garden.
